Background:
Enhancing a Brand Identity without Losing its Identity

OECSL, the largest community for digital entrepreneurs and freelancers in Sri Lanka, approached us to uplift its brand identity and improve its visual communication.

The OECSL logo and identity had been established for a long time and had gained significant brand recognition. Therefore, the challenge was to uplift and enhance the logo and visual style without losing the brand’s long-lasting identity.

Rebranding process began by analyzing OECSL’s overall brand visual identity. Instead of creating a completely new brand identity, they decided to enhance the existing logo to make it more dynamic and recognizable.

Reconstructing the OECSL Logo for a Modern and Balanced Look While Retaining Its Identity

We created a dynamic grid and reconstructed the logo without losing its identity. They identified the areas that needed improvement and enhanced them to create a more balanced and visually appealing logo. The result was a more modern and fresh take on the original logo that retained its original essence.

To solve the visibility issues, we also created an alternative responsive logo version that could be used in different locations. This helped the brand to be easily recognized in any place, whether digital or print.
